Look at this gorgeous Rum Cake. I can hardly wait until Bob gets home so that he can try it out. Of course I've already had a piece, just wanted to make sure it tasted OK. :)
It's topped off with chopped. roasted pecans and is drenched in the most heavenly rum glaze you ever tasted.
You can see the glaze seeping into the warm bundt cake. Have a lovely week everyone. This is going to be a great year. Can't get any worse than last year, so things must be looking up!♥

I love rum cake! It looks so gorgeous! I need to make one very soon! Sounds like you had such a great holiday with a family! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Teresa. Glad you had wonderful holidays with all the family together. What else can one ask for? The cake sounds delicious and I'd love a slice of your cake with my coffee right now.
Oh, Teresa, that is one of my favorite cakes ever. I must have made it a hundred times in the late 70's and early 80's (once in a while I'd make their pina colada cake). I missed you, querida, but am so happy to hear you had a glorious Christmas with your family. Happy New Year.
Oh, Teresa, my heart is SO with you on this post - yes, there's nothing better than time with children. The photos are lovely!
2. Last year WAS awful, wasn't it? Let's have a brilliant, wonderful 2010!
3. Oh! Oh! Oh! I think your recipe is the one I've been searching and searching for - except my mom used to make this with Amaretto. But I'd like it even better with rum, but this is absolutely the one! YAY!!! My mom used to make something like this regularly in the late 70s/early 80s and now claims she has no idea what I'm remembering. This looks GORGEOUS!
Hey welcome back Teresa! I missed ya :)
Nice picture collage your kids got you, I know you must of had a fantastic time with them, sharing lots of stories.
Here's to a great year, and nice way to start it off with cake. I need to make a bundt cake soon.
Happy New Year Teresa! The collage is a sweet gift. I'm glad you had happy holidays this year! Your rum cake looks absolutely delicious - you must of read my mind because I was dreaming of one just like it that I used to eat in Tucson all the time. XO
It's better if you add chopped glace cherries and use a thick vanilla yogurt instead of the pudding.
Your cake looks delicious! Happy New Year! So glad you enjoyed the time with your kids. ;-)
That looks so delicious! I am delighted that you had such a wonderful Christmas season Teresa. And those photos are beautiful!
I'm so glad you liked the photos. :) Remind me later and I'll email you some of the out-takes that are just plain hilarious!
Teresa, I love rum cake although never had a chance to make one...now I must try your recipe...looks yummie!
Jenn, thanks again for being the family photographer. You rock. Proud that you're my daughter-in-law.
Suzer, your suggestions sound interesting. I guess I'm just a traditionalist. :)
